Abby has been a retail real estate broker since she graduated from Georgetown in 2012, and while she's represented both landlords and tenants of all sizes, independent retailers are by far her favorite. She has seen how powerful the right representation can be in terms of dollars and cents - and getting great deals for businesses that are working so hard to bring something creative and new into the world is incredibly motivating to Abby.

Prior to founding Pedal, Abby served as Director of Real Estate for Compass Coffee and as a retail broker at CBRE. Abby is a Boston native with two very exuberant Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

My retail career began in 1986 when I sold pinecones in my parents' driveway and Windexed glass top coffee tables in my family's furniture store. Then I went to college at the University of Virginia and graduate school at the Hotel School at Cornell. I've owned my own retail business and I've grown many others.

I'm a retailer through and through, and I leanred the hard way that new and emerging brick-and-mortar businesses are at a dangerous disadvantage when they enter the existing commercial real estate ecosystem. Retailers deserve encouraging, honest guidance through decisions that will fundamentally impact their professional, financial and emotional lives. That's what I'm here to do.

Patty's brokerage career began in 2009, but like Shelia, her earliest businesses coud be traced back to selling chiclets at her dad's dive bar, or going door to door selling homemade perfume. After attending Western Carolina University and clocking countless hours in the restaurant industry, she joined her dad's business, National Restaurant Properties, a one stop shop for anyone looking to buy, sell or lease a restaurant.

Patty feels a deep connection to her clients and is passionate about finding the right space, but it's more than that -- like Abby, she gets fired up by people who are working tirelessly to bring something creative into the world. In 201, Patty sold National Restaurant Properties and joined forces with Abby and Sheila at Pedal. Patty enjoys exploring new places, eating wonderful food and hanging with people she loves.
