pink moon
BETHESDA, MD

Jill Adams’ vision for Pink Moon was born out of her own experience as a busy lawyer and mom of three young kids. Pink Moon, a self-care and social club, helps moms prioritize their physical and mental health. Through simplified wellness solutions and enriching childcare on site, moms could take time for fitness, catching up with friends, or getting some work done – without the crushing “mom guilt.”
Â
Jill hired Pedal to help her find the perfect location in Bethesda to bring Pink Moon to life. Just like all first timers, we started by creating Jill’s Powerhouse Business Plan complete with financial projections, real estate criteria, and funding plan. Once we stepped into the Bethesda real estate market, there were two spaces that could work, and by comparing each opportunity through the lens of Jill’s financial framework, one emerged as the clear winner.Â
Â
While the LOI process went smoothly enough, the lease negotiations took a long and unexpected detour when an insurance issue threatened to derail the whole deal. We worked together through very real moments of “is the universe telling me not to do this,” after concluding that the assumptions in her business plan still held, forged ahead and got the lease over the finish line. Today, Pink Moon is welcoming moms into a gorgeous, light-filled space in the bustling center of Bethesda.

"What Abby and Sheila have created in Pedal is truly one of kind, and working with them has been a constant reminder of how powerful it is when women support other women.
Â
Between their genuine excitement and belief in my vision, patience (with me) through some of the less sexy aspects of the commercial lease process, and willingness to share their deep expertise and impressive contacts (many of whom have become core members of my buildout team), having Abby and Sheila in my corner has truly been the gift that keeps on giving."
