š The ABCs of retail real estate
Sep 03, 2024Abby here, and as a new mom, "back-to-school" suddenly means something to me again. Since I graduated from college a "few" years ago, August has run into September with little punctuation. Our DC summer weather stretches into October, and now that we're all wearing our white jeans year-round (that's a thing, right?), I only notice the season change by the number of football jerseys at bars.
Until this year, that is. Baby Stella's class started daycare last week, and already we've been to orientation, a teacher meet-and-greet AND back-to-school shopping.
So as I'm looking forward to the day when my little one learns the alphabet, we thought there was no better time to remind you all that the A, B, C's of retail leasing are streaming on our YouTube channel. So whether you're mid-stream on a deal, are just getting your feet wet, it's all available to you. Check it out:
B - Brokers
C - Contractors
E - Exclusive Use
F - FF&E
G - Guaranty
H - Hiring a Lawyer
I - Improvement Allowance (TI)
K - Kickouts
L - Landlord
M - Maintenance
N - NNNs
O - Outdoor Seating
P - Permits
S - SAVING $$ (on your buildout)
T - Touring spaces like a pro
U - Use
V - Vendors
W - Workflow of construction
X - Exhibit A
OK, I confess the letters Y and Z have me stumped. Reply to this email and let me know what I'm missing... there may be a prize involved.
Happy back-to-school to those who celebrate!
